The Sunshine Through the Trees

Our house was built in 1922, which means that these trees are probably around 100 years old. They are huge, and canopy the street and keep it shady, and I love that.

A couple of days ago, our neighbor across the street had 2 of these large trees in her front yard cut down. The first thing I noticed was all of the sunlight. Seeing it in the midst of all of these big, majestic trees was, honestly, quite stunning.

The more I stared at the sunny house from under my big, shady tree in the front yard, I had two thoughts. One, I liked seeing the sun. Two, I liked seeing it from under my big, shady tree.

Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit." -e.e. cummings

  1. Your street and your view are lovely, almost as beautiful as the boys.
